I'm a middle-aged guy from the UK who takes up a new challenge/hobby every year. 2024 was to learn to play chess, and I progressed from ~400 ELO to >1000 and am slowly continuing to progress. I've certainly noticed my blunders reducing, but not to zero!

I occasionally stream my games if I'm going to play more than a couple, as I find it helps me to talk through my moves and to engage with other players for tips and advice - please feel free to drop by the stream to say hello. I play followers, but not rated games - I want to progress (or not) fairly and naturally.
